I need help deleting an sbcglobal email account through yahoo - i have tried with canceling and says oops cannot delete now - very frustrating

Good morning @4121ed!
We're always here to help! Please note that you can only delete an AT&T email address if it's not connected to a paid service, or if it's been 30 -60 days since service cancellation.
You go to Profile>Contact Info>Email tab>Free AT&T email account> Manage. If you don't see that option, your email account can't be deleted. Next to Member I.D> Delete Account>Ok. Please confirm that the status at the bottom of the User information section now reads Disabled. Your email account has been deleted.

Hello, I do not have the option to delete account next to Member ID.

Since there is no delete option, how long does an old email account remain before it is taken down? My account was hacked so I opened a new email account elsewhere. I wanted to delete this one but ATT won’t take it down.
